Sharing Your Memories

What it's about - Here is where you and your fellow brothers and sisters from the Chicago Church of Christ - whether you are a member here now, or have moved to another felllowship - can share some of the great memories that you have of the church over the past 25 years.

"All you have made will praise you, O LORD;
your saints will extol you.
They will tell of the glory of your kingdom
and speak of your might,
so that all men may know of your mighty acts
and the glorious splendor of your kingdom."
Psalm 145:10-12

Blanca Perez — I've been a disciple since 1985 and I have many, many great memories of God's blessings and of the kingdom.  Since my baptism I've graduated from high school, graduated from college, dated in the kingdom, got married, had a daughter, worked in CPS for 15 years, made incredible friendhips, been in numerous house churches/bible talks, served many people, been served by many and have grown closer to God each day.  I am grateful for everything I have experienced in my life, good and bad, because I know that it is all from God and I believe that He will continue to work powerfully in my life and my family's life.

Dina Dolgin — I am so grateful for the eternal friendships!  No matter where you move to or from the friendships are forever ones!!  I am fortunate to have both of my children growing up in Kingdom Kids, wow what a blessing to have great people impact their lives in such an incredible way!  I feel forever blessed!!

Jinky Kieft — Great memories of camping trips with our region. Bonding with brothers & sisters from the heart, singing camp fire songs and just looking up at the stars and being reminded of how huge God is!

Subrina Mae — She was first impressed on how people would go before the church and talk about their own sin.  Everyone, the leaders and others were open.  People would love up on people after they came forward.

Beverly Goosby — remembers going to church for the first time and the sermon from Ron Drabot where he “completely busted me out.”

Her husband, Kevin, said, “Discipling.  I would be a lost soul if guys half my age didn’t tell me what I needed to be told.  I didn’t always appreciate it, but the conviction was right.”

Eric Stiles — people were so bold in sharing their faith, focused on having a relationship with God, who really knew how to walk the walk.

Stephanie Pederson — group prayer times at 5am in the morning before work

William — Remembers the honor of “setting up the baptistery at the Medinah, being right there for so many of them [baptisms] over those years.”

LeTroy Jackson — was twelve years old in 1982 and when be became a Christian years later he recalled being twelve, praying “for a movement that would show him how to have a relationship with God.”
